This guide is about setting up the Entropia Central Tracker, and explanations of each setting the application provides.
To start it off, install the app (Entropia Central Tracker, Microsoft App Store), and register to Entropia Central (unless you plan to strictly run stealth mode)
We are now at the “Settings” page in the tracker:
1) chat.log path – Select folder where your chat.log is located at (usually in Documents/Entropia Universe)
2) Log in to your account at www.entropiacentral.com and navigate to https://www.entropiacentral.com/account -> API tab, generate your API key, and add it to the app
3) Tracking mode options
4) Avatar Name/Team Name – Your avatar name, and optionally team name if you want to capture your team globals as well
5) Screenshot on global
6) Video replay on global
This feature integrates OBS with the tracker, so to set it up, start by installing the latest version of OBS (OBS Studio download page). Once it’s installed, follow the guide below:
Back to the tracker’s settings under Video replay on global
7) Start app when Windows starts – Enabling this option adds Entropia Central Tracker to the Windows startup sequence, disabling it disables it, to completely remove it from the startup sequence go to Task Manager -> Startup apps
8) Start tracking when app starts – Starts tracking immediatelly when app initializes. Recommended to keep on among with previous setting, so it runs without you having to interact with the app
9) Backup
This feature is designed for people who compete on events, and land owners, as a way to never lose the data in case of server outage. It is recommended to save backup to CSV before using “Restore Backup” option, since it will clear backed up globals from the local database after sending data to server.
Q/A
Q: What the heck is this app sending to server?
A: The app specifically sends globals/trade messages/pvp actions to the server based on the mode you have selected in settings. It does not send personal data, screenshots or videos. Every line sent to server is displayed on the bottom bar, there is no hidden data sent to server besides what is shown in the UI.
